About Me

IG: pyrena93

I'm from New Orleans but have spent much of the last 7 years traveling. I'll be working from home 3 days a week for the foreseeable future, but will probably transition back to working at the office full-time, COVID-willing.

I have a 2 year old male cat, Meeko, who is pretty cuddly and has gotten along well with my last 2 roommates. If you have a cat, Meeko should get along well with them after a transition period.

I like to have friends over occasionally, but am not looking for my home to be a party space. I'd like to get along well with my roommate and try new restaurants or find live music together, but we don't need to be best friends. If we do become best friends, that would be awesome.

I do not go out a lot during the week, but spending a few hours at a chill bar or having a few friends over for game night/a movie while splitting a bottle of wine sounds ideal. I vape but can keep that to my room if it would bother anyone else. I don't do any recreation drugs and don't want anything illegal in my house. I also don't like the smell of weed, so if you want to smoke I'd rather you do it elsewhere. I want to feel comfortable in the communal spaces but won't be camped out on the living room sofa for days at a time.

I'm pretty chill. I'd like to be able to talk openly about boundaries. I'd like to explore the city together on the weekend, but I also don't want to get judged if I don't live my room all day Saturday after a bad week at work. Sometimes you just need to chill in your own space for a little while.

Some common roommate questionnaire answers:

I don't mind people coming over as long as I get a heads up that they are there so I know what I'm walking into. I don't have a SO but if you do, I don't mind them coming over or even spending the night occasionally as long as they don't practically live with us and they accept my boundaries. I'm cool with out of town friends staying for a few days, as long as we talk about it before hand and agree.

I don't mind sharing stuff as long as we talk about it. I would like to split the cost of household supplies. I'd be open to talking about a communal grocery fund. If you want to cook a dinner to split, I'll contribute a bottle of wine or cook another night.
