Hi there! I’m looking for a roommate ideally between the ages of 28 and 35, to share a lovely apartment right on the border of Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill. This would be an ideal living situation someone who splits their time between Brooklyn and somewhere else.
Rent is $1650/month and utilities usually run around $100 give or take. This is a 2br/1bath. Move in Date Oct 1st - must make 40x the rent and have good credit.
The location is incredible!!! Brooklyn Bridge Park is just a seven-minute walk away, and the area is filled with great restaurants, cozy cafes, farmers markets, and the best Buy Nothing group I’ve ever joined.
You’re close to everything: about a ten-minute walk to the R train at Court Street, twelve minutes to the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains at Borough Hall, and fourteen minutes to the A, C, and F trains at Jay Street. Montague Street is just around the corner, and the heart of Cobble Hill is a quick ten-minute stroll.
A little about me!
I’m in my early thirties and starting my second year of grad school in social work. Before that, I worked in film, so I always enjoy meeting fellow creatives, although that’s absolutely not a requirement.
I love live music, going to the movies, and watching Bravo. I’m usually out and about enjoying the city. I’m looking for someone to move in on October first and would love to finalize things soon since I’ll be traveling in Europe for a few weeks.
I’m hoping to find someone who values a calm and peaceful home and does not work from home full-time. This apartment is small but has a lot of heart, and I really love living here! Most of the furniture in the shared spaces belongs to my current roommate and will be going with her, but I plan on investing in a couch, a TV, and some other essentials. I’m happy to talk more if you'd like to collaborate on the space.
I’d love to be friendly with my roommate while also respecting each other’s space and privacy. This would be a great home for someone who wants a central spot in Brooklyn but doesn’t need to be in the apartment all the time.
If this sounds like a fit, I’d love to hear from you!
