Hey,

Am a PhD student (socio-ecological studies on smallholder farmers) in the UK headed to New York for a summer internship. I haven't lived in the states for ages and am looking to test out if corporate life/NY is for me. Will be working a quite busy and uptight office job so looking for a place with kind and creative housemates and a friendly and laid back energy. In my freetime I'm very keen to check out creative events and shows, spend a weekend doing crafts and eating/drinking loads, and am generally pretty social. I have a few friends in the city and also plan on having my own life and appreciate solo-time and space. I've lived in houseshares in the past in London & other and think it's the best way to get to know a city, so hoping to do the same over the summer!

Will be working lower manhattan so looking for somewhere east village and south, or south west brooklyn. Hoping for a place from mid-May to end of August but am flexible!
