About Me

I'm a writer and filmmaker who loves to dance and travel, eat vegetarian food, play tennis, and spend the summer at the beach as much as possible. I love being outside during nice weather, and my friends say I'm good at "structured fun" (haha) since I'm always the one coming up with ideas for get togethers, like grilled s'mores at the Brooklyn piers last fall. At home, I'm about 50/50 keep-to-myself and social, but always friendly and considerate. Since I tend to be a bit messy but I like a clean apartment, I do very well with splitting chores in an organized way (like alternating cleaning the kitchen or bathroom every week).

Available Room

Large Sunny 1BR in Perfectly Located 2BR Apt

My roommate is moving out and our lease is up on May 31 so I'm looking for a friendly, responsible and polite roommate to move into our spacious, light-filled apartment on June 1.

(* Note: if you need an earlier move-in date than June 1, that might be possible, as my roommate might find a new place sooner. There also would be the option of subletting my room until my roommate's room becomes available)

About the apartment:
- Large light-filled bedroom (could fit a king bed with room to spare)
- Spacious common area (living room + kitchen) with two closets
- Hard wood floors throughout
- Coin-op laundry on-site!!
- Top floor apt with only 3 other units in the building, so never a wait for laundry and very little noise from other tenants
- Over the course of the year, utilities average out to about $150/month/person (electric, gas, wifi)

About the location:
- This is a prime location in Fort Greene for an amazing price!
- Two blocks from Fort Greene Park
- 5-8 walk from multiple train lines (NQR, B, 2/3, 4/5, G, F, ACE) - can't overstate how convenient this is is!
- A few blocks from Barclays, 25 min walk to Prospect Park
- About 15 minutes on the train to Union Square or Washington Square Park

I'm a writer and filmmaker in my 40s who loves to dance and travel. I spend most of my time working from home on creative projects, but am hoping to go on some trips this summer when it's safe to do so.

My ideal roommate is responsible and easy going, willing to split basic cleaning chores, and vegetarian-friendly :)
