About Me

I work in fashion, i'm hoping to find someone responsible, respectful and nice, with similar values and demeanor when it comes to sharing a living space with no drama or issues that interfere with being in a normal harmonious home. I'm hoping to find someone who has also a similar schedule 9 to 5. Unfortunately no pets(love dogs), & absolutely no couples, no kids(love kids) and specially no drugs. There is no real catch here or something to be aware of. Hopefully would like to find someone who might relate to these values.

Available Room for Rent

WILLIAMSBURG Lovely Room for rent in 2 bedroom apt. $1500 Sept 30th

To know you are real, please kindly email me your favorite animal and why?

Room is 9' X 11' spacious with a very large window and sliding french doors (please note that the image of the room shown is identical to the the room for rent)
The sliding door is great because you don't lose any of your living space by an opening a door.

Apartment is five minutes away from JMZ trains. 13 to 15 minutes to Manhattan from the lower east side.

Hewes (6 mins) - Lorimer (4 mins) stop. I usually walk to Lorimer.

I work in midtown which takes me 30 minutes to 34th St. Sometimes i walk to Manhattan and can be in soho in one-hour flat. A 35-minute walk to LES.

The L train Lorimer/metropolitan Ave (2nd stop from Manhattan) is a 10-minute walk. We don't have to ever worry or depend on the drama of L train not running and usually commute with JMZ lines that connect to most all others.

For our location, we have a Harvest market literally across the street, Walgreens around the corner, police station and fire station and even a bodega open 24 hours a day. All within 2 minutes away from Apt. Area is quiet, safe and convenient. Most of all is very close to the subway and Manhattan.

15-20-minute walk to all of the bars and amenities that Williamsburg has to offer (food delivery from dozens of restaurants)

The flat is minimally decorated with simple high-end furniture and a couple of subtle elements of decor which have a very neutral quality to it and the place doesn't feel like living in someone else's crowded and overwhelming space.

I had my share of looking for places and I was always put off and disappointed by the way some people keep their places. The apt. feels simple, welcoming and pleasant.

Apt has beautiful hardwood floors, modern appliances, dishwasher, Vitamix blender, Cuisinart kettle, toaster, & Breville quick touch crisp microwave. All in perfect working condition and relatively new.

I also have excellent pots & pans to cook any meal. All available to use as long as they're used and treated correctly. If, I ever prepare a meal the kitchen/stove are always left spotless afterwards. You'll never have to deal with cleaning after myself. Not even having to ever look at a dirty pot/dish.

There are no odors or funny smells, or any issues with bugs, pests etc. None whatsoever!

Building has elevator, Gym(which is not really a big deal but if you work out is ok), Bicycle lock up room, and a fantastic rooftop.

Building is cleaned and maintained daily so it is always clean. neighbours are all mostly young professionals and students. All in general very friendly and the building has a nice atmosphere in that regard.

Room is ideal for someone who is moving to NY, studying or working who doesn't have too much furniture other than a bed, small desk, dresser, etc.

Living and working in NY, I really value and appreciate the quality of coming back and unwind to my comfortable room and not have to worry about anything else. In some respect I consider that quality of life, especially at times, in this manic & hectic city.
About my previous roommates, a girl here was studying business at NYU, who moved abroad to continue her studies in the UK. We keep in touch and usually catch up when she comes to NY to visit.

My last roommate is a graduate from MIT who has his own hedge-fund investment firm and relocated his business to NJ. Both absolutely fantastic people. Very friendly and always normal interactions. We've shared a meal and sometimes & drinks here and there. Mostly communicated by text if we needed to help each other (let know if one of us was away traveling, keep an eye for the post and that sort of thing, etc.)

We're both quiet and never had any roommate issues or drama. In that sense, I’ve never had any issues with any roommates. Even if we're both home the apt always feels like we're here on our own.

About me, I'm a 38-year-old Boy working in fashion 5-6 days a week, depending how busy my week is and leave apt in the morning and usually return in the evening. I'm straight if that matters. Either way I'm very respectful

I only drink socially and socialize outside apartment. Most of my friends are married with kids or live abroad. I very rarely have people over. When I do is usually time spent in my room or on the rooftop. Life in the apt. Is always flawless and meant to never interfere with the harmony or space in the house. I live a pretty quaint and normal life at home. No vices other than watching netflix... No drugs, don't smoke. If you're into bringing the party home or have a hectic social life & consider yourself loud in this manner, this might not be the best place for you. No smoking in the apt. We have a great rooftop with nice views of Manhattan and considered a great private & safe place to hang out, especially during the summer. The rooftop has been a great place to have during this pandemic. It’s like having an extra private space to socialize, BBQ, etc.

I have no preference when it comes to roommates, I work with mostly girls for the last 16 years and so this has never been an issue. I'm very respectful & well-mannered in this respect. I take great pride to be able to assure a safe, well-adjusted, respectful environment to anyone I'm sharing with. Both my roommates have been really lovely people, in their early to mid-twenties, and this has never been an issue of any kind.

I'm quiet opening, shutting doors, move around the house very thoughtfully. I consider myself very polite, educated and friendly. Above all very easy going. Always helpful, friendly & easy to approach.
I'm hoping to find someone like minded, responsible, respectful and nice, with similar values and demeanor when it comes to sharing a living space, with no drama or issues that interfere with being in a normal harmonious home. I'm hoping to find someone who has also a similar schedule, unfortunately no pets (love dogs), NO couples, no kids (love kids) and specially no drugs. There is no real catch here or something to be aware of. I'm posting as much detail not to have to answer to some of these roommate dilemmas/predicaments whilst considering sharing a space. Also, what is expected of myself as a roommate. Hopefully could find someone who might relate to these values...All else It's all really straight forward

The apt is always spotless and very easy to maintain because it's always so tidy. I have a little bit of OCD cleaning things.

The only rule of the house is to keep common areas exactly as found. It’s a very pragmatic hope (kept almost like a hotel) Kitchen, front room and bathroom are always tidy and spotless. Takes literally a few minutes to tidy up and maintain because you would be cleaning after yourself.
This only means that our interactions are always normal & positive. You never have to tidy up after myself, or worry coming home to a messy flat. You’ll never see a dirty dish, sink or anything that concerns other than your own time, space and personal needs at home. Living with other people is not easy, so they say. I'm very lucky that I've never had any issues whatsoever and I'm pretty sure my flat mates felt the same way. The whole point is that even having a roommate the flat has a slight sense of being here both on our own.

Your room is your own private space and can be kept in any way you like. I would never go into your space.

I do need to emphasize, "if you respond to this message please know that I'm looking for someone that could help me maintain the same pragmatic atmosphere, understands the meaning of “easy going, no drama, normal interactions" This is the only thing I've ever known in terms of how I interact with most people including at my job but specially at home has always been a bliss.

This formula has been and extremely successful and positive way of living for both me and my roommates, who can both be contacted for references.

Rent is $1500 a month plus a month's rent/utility security deposit with a sublease of a year. But we can discuss this.
We share all utilities (electricity, spectrum internet and national grid)

You can email me or reach me directly on this number. 646.322.2597 Please read the post thoroughly and only contact me if these living condtions resonate with you.

Cheers! Mitchell
