I'm looking for a lovely human to fill the extra unfurnished BR in my 2 BR apartment. You'll have your own private BA, and your BR (13' x 12') is sunny all day. The apartment has its own washer/dryer, dishwasher and floor-to-ceiling bay windows overlooking the neighborhood, the national harbor and DC. (You can see all this from your bedroom too). The room's available November 1st and rent is $1,000 including utilities.
The apartment complex has an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, sundeck, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, tennis courts, racquetball court, valet dry cleaning, 24/7 concierge service, 24/7 fitness center, free weekly fitness classes, bbq area with gas grills, a fireside lounge with free Wifi and coffee/hot chocolate/lattes, indoor bike storage, a parking garage (For $75/mo), surface parking, and responsive on-site management and maintenance. There's a free shuttle that'll take you to and from Huntington Metro Station (Yellow Line). Shuttles run M-F every 15 minutes. On weekends its a 15 minute walk to the metro, and the station is a 21 minute metro ride from downtown DC. This spot is right on Route 1, so you'll love how quick easy it is to get anywhere. There is SO much within a 5-minute drive! To name a few of them, Old Town Alexandria, a couple great farmer's markets, Founders Park, and Belle Haven Park (both parks on the waterfront).
