Just out of undergrad and thrilled to be in Manhattan!
I am very excited to be a small part of big research on the ways environmental exposure effects neonatal health and development. I love the being around scientifically-inclined people and have my horizons expanded and my understandings challenged. My primary passion in life, though, is music: I am violinist and instrumentalist, songwriter, composer and improviser. It would be a dream to live with other improvisers and jam from time to time, and explore the universe of nyc music together.
I think I am pretty easygoing and sociable; I have always loved to have in-depth discussions with people of all stripes on all sorts of subjects. So while having a roommate that shares my passion--for music or biology--would be awesome, there's a large possibility I would enjoy the company of people focused on other things just as much. I place the highest value on being around people who apply themselves constructively--not consumptively--in their free time, and inspire others to do the same.
When I'm not working in the lab or playing music, I love to read good fiction, philosophy and history, run, hike, kayak, and, perhaps most of all, sail.
