About Me

Hey there - I'm looking for a roommate for the fall/winter 2020 timeframe (I'm pretty flexible on the move in date since I'm currently staying with family). I'm looking at a specific area only so I am looking for someone who is on board with that! I'm usually pretty open/flexible to compromise on things but I'm pretty set on the location so if you're ok with that then I'd love to look for a place together. I'm looking at the Upper West side..specifically in the 80s and ideally between Central Park and Columbus. I know this is very specific but I lived in the area and absolutely loved it. It's quiet, close to the park and subway, and close enough to restaurants and coffee shops. I would like to be in a brownstone (no more than 2 flights up) but I'm also ok in an elevator building. Ok, that's pretty much it about location and timing of move!

More about me - in my typical schedule (and pre-Covid) I work M-F in the office, get home in the evenings, go to the gym, cook something after the gym, shower, watch some tv and go to sleep. If I'm not at the gym I'm usually meeting with a friend for dinner or happy hour. I'm usually pretty busy during the weeks. On the weekends I usually try to get out as much as possible - whether it's in the park, meeting with friends, errands, or at times road trips, etc. I also love to travel. There are times where I spend time indoors and read a book or watch tv. I also like to cook and would be nice to have a nice/decent kitchen in the apartment!

I'm not a morning person and usually go to sleep a little later around midnight or 1am. On the weekends I do like to sleep in. I'm pretty low key and definitely don't like any drama especially at home. It would be nice to be friends with my roommate and just feel comfortable to be around each other in the apartment, especially when we're using the living room or kitchen areas. I wouldn't mind at times to watch tv together or even cook together but I'm totally ok if we don't do that either. My family (mother and sister) live out of state so sometimes they like to visit me but it's usually once every 2 months for a night. They would probably just sleep on the coach or an inflatable bed. Other than that I typically don't have much company over!

I'm open to going up to 2,000 on rent or possibly a little more. It's important the apartment have a clean/updated bathroom and kitchen. If this sounds like it could be a good match, please let me know! Also, if you have a room available in that timeframe and live in the area I mentioned in the UWS, please let me know and I would consider moving into your place as well.
