Our Furry Friend: We have an adorable English Cream Golden Retriever who is two years old, well trained, and loves literally everyone and everything. She sheds a bit, but we have Roombas both upstairs and downstairs to mitigate any dog hair. It’s a big apartment, so while you definitely need to love dogs, it’s never overwhelming, as she spends most of her time in the owner’s room or the backyard.

The place: A large bedroom in a 4 bed, 2 bath duplex with a private backyard in a well-kept six-unit building in Astoria. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and the kitchen upstairs, and the other 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room and backyard downstairs.
Bedroom is huge. If you're coming from a finished studio, you probably can keep all your furniture with some room to spare :) Window overlooks the backyard and there is zero street noise. All furniture pictured is up for grabs.
Our unit has exclusive access to a large backyard. It's a lovely landscaped escape from the noise and bustle of the city. You're welcome and encouraged to garden in our raised garden bed or pursue any personal gardening projects. By your move-in we should have a large harvest of tomatoes, peppers and strawberries ready to go, and all the fresh herbs you need for any sort of cooking. The area is perfect for hosting BBQs in the summer, and with a gas and kettle grill we're more than well equipped.
Location: A pleasant, tree-lined, and quiet residential street near the 30th Avenue N/W stop in Astoria, also close to numerous bus lines. 15/20 minutes to Manhattan. Walking distance to Broadway with tons of nice bars and restaurants in the area. There are 4 large groceries stores nearby as well as gyms, health food stores, dry-cleaners/tailors, fold & wash laundry and a community center. Our lovely pocket of Astoria doesn’t really offer compromises, it has everything you could want and more.
