About Me

Hello! My name's Jesica and I'm currently a grad student in History of Art and Archaeology at NYU. My roommate is leaving and she needs someone to take over her lease starting May 2022. The lease will be renewed in September for one year. I’d like to have my roommate be around my age. I’m pet friendly, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and vaccinated. The apartment is on 78th between 1st and 2nd UES. Pictures will be shared upon request.

Here's a little more about me. I'm originally from Michigan and spent my university years living in Baltimore where I attended Johns Hopkins University and received degrees in Classics, History of Art, and German. I grew up speaking English and German so if anyone wants to learn German or practice I’m available :D I have a passion for travel and experiencing cultures outside of my own. I love art and visiting museums and can’t wait to spend hours combing through NYC’s offerings. I’m sociable but I do like to have downtime and would like to be friends with my roommate(s) and hang out sometimes.

I work as an ESL teacher when I'm not swamped with grad work. I’m an absolute sucker for reality tv (the real housewives franchise is just *chef’s kiss* so good) and anything Austen-related (I’m always down for a P&P night)! For those who need it, I’m a Leo sun, Aquarius moon, and Virgo rising :D

Jesica and I met almost 10 years ago on an archaeological excavation outside Rome. We have traveled all over Italy and Germany in the years since. During the excavation we lived together in an apartment and she was a great roommate. We have lived together in few other short-term situations. As long as you communicate she is responsible and will share the load. Clean, cooks and bakes, loves to explore and experience things. Can be a bit indecisive at times - but for our friendship it works. She is very intelligent and a hard worker. I recently needed some help at my business and she came and was great working and picked everything up very quickly. She is attending NYU in the fall to further her aspirations to work in museums. Once you click, you click with her. I think she would prefer roommates that wanted to develop relationships, not just nod in the hall. I actually wish she could move in with me!

We think Jesica’s room is fantastic! But in case you want to see more…
