I’m a mid-40s professional woman who works from home. I like my home calm, cozy, and welcoming – think plants, balcony time, good meals, and occasional small dinner parties or cocktails with friends, not chaos or randoms every night.
I have a chronic health/autoimmune condition, so I’m careful about germs, wear masks in some situations, and really want a roommate who respects that and is:
Up-to-date on standard vaccinations (COVID, flu, etc.)
Reasonable about illness and public health
I’m quiet in terms of drama and energy – no yelling, no fights, no messy life chaos – but I’m not a ghost: I’m up early, I move around, cook, and sometimes I drop things. Overlay that with planes/helicopters/trains and this is not the right home for someone who needs total silence.
Socially/politically, I lean progressive, care about equity, and want a space that’s safe and affirming for women, LGBTQ+ folks, and people of all backgrounds.
Ideal Roommate (Professional)
Working professional with stable income
Pays rent on time and communicates like an adult
Cleans up after themselves in the kitchen and common areas
Up-to-date on vaccinations and okay with occasional masking / health precautions
Values respect, consent, and inclusivity
If you’re into misogynistic “red pill” content, anti-vax rhetoric, conspiracy stuff, or political rage as a personality trait, this will not be a fit
Not a very light sleeper; comfortable with city noise in a quiet building
Low to normal guest traffic; no drama, no revolving door of people
If this sounds like you, message me with:
What you do for work + your typical schedule (WFH, hybrid, in-office)
Your ideal move-in date and how long you want to stay
Any pet info, if relevant
Anything important about how you live at home (sleep schedule, cooking, guests)
Then we can hop on a short video call and see if it feels like a fit for both of us.

Quiet, Professional Penthouse Share – National Landing / Potomac Yard (Parking Included)
I’m renting a bedroom in my penthouse-level 2BR/2BA + den condo in National Landing / Potomac Yard, ideal for a working professional who wants a calm, well-located home with easy access to DC, Arlington, and Alexandria.
Building & Neighborhood
The condo is in The Eclipse on Center Park (Via Eclipse) – a secure, quiet condo building with mostly high-income professionals and strong HOA standards.
Key fob access + guest callbox
Concierge and package room
Outdoor pool, gym, community room, and rooftop
Quiet hours start at 10 p.m. and are enforced
You can walk to a major shopping center with Target, HomeGoods, Amazon Fresh, Best Buy, Total Wine, and lots of restaurants and cafes, plus multiple grocery options nearby.
< 1 mile to DCA (walkable or 5-minute drive)
~10 minutes (off-peak) to the National Mall and Old Town Alexandria
~30 minutes to most major DMV destinations
Free DASH bus service, Metro access, and easy rideshare
The Condo
~1,300 sq ft 2BR / 2BA + den
6th floor, end-cap, penthouse level – no one above you
High ceilings (~100"+)
Very large windows in the bedrooms
Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors in the living area opening to a huge wraparound balcony
The balcony has panoramic views of the Washington Monument, Capitol, National Harbor/MGM, the Maryland shoreline, and the Masonic Temple in Old Town – amazing for fireworks, sunsets, and just relaxing.
Inside:
In-unit washer/dryer
Central air & heat
Full kitchen with dishwasher and newer appliances (≤3 years old)
Smart home setup, strong Wi-Fi
Balcony with heat lamp and umbrella
Plants and cozy decor – it feels like a home, not a sterile crashpad
Your Space
Private bedroom, minimally furnished and already decorated
Can be furnished or cleared out – if you want it empty, I’ll handle removal and you’d cover the removal cost
You’ll use the main hallway bathroom, which also serves as the guest bathroom when people are over
Optional large private storage unit for $80–$100/month
For safety, there are cameras in the shared living room and entry hallway only. There are no cameras in any bedrooms or bathrooms.
Sound Environment – Read This If You’re Noise-Sensitive
This is city living, not the countryside.
You will hear:
Planes from DCA
Helicopters overhead
Background noise from the Metro and freight trains
Most people experience it as normal urban white noise and don’t mind it. But if you’re a very light sleeper who needs absolute silence, this apartment will not feel good to you.
If you’re okay with city soundscape + quiet building, you’ll be fine here.
If you need pin-drop silence, this will not be a fit.
Professional Cleaning
We have professional cleaners twice a month, included in utilities:
Common areas (kitchen, living room, floors, bathrooms) are cleaned
Your bedroom can be included for light cleaning – dusting, vacuum/mopping, and linen changes if you want
They don’t pick up clutter or clothes, so your room still needs to be reasonably tidy
Rent & Terms
$2,000/month, parking included
Security deposit: $2,000
Due at signing: first month’s rent + deposit
Utilities split 50/50, including twice-monthly professional cleaning
Optional storage unit: $80–$100/month
Minimum stay: 6–12 months
No smoking, no drugs, no loud parties
Pets
I’m open to well-behaved pets, especially a friendly dog, subject to building rules.
We’ll talk through size, temperament, barking, and condo regulations
You’re 100% responsible for walking, cleanup, care, and arrangements when you travel
There may be a pet deposit and/or small monthly pet fee, depending on the pet and building rules
