I tend to work Monday through Friday (8am to 4:30pm). Sometimes at the office and sometimes from home. On Saturday and Sunday I am either writing, doing theatre, getting some sleep, reading, attending the theater, hanging out with friends, or running events for the community. A few times a year I leave town to speak at conventions about writing and sell my books. I have a friend battling cancer so I spend weekends helping her as well.
My background is in healthcare but the administrative side, though I did work for the ER for awhile and during the pandemic. I am quite busy and sometimes come home late from theatre events but I'm always considerate if you are sleeping. My previous roommate went to bed at 9pm so I do my best to make sure you get your rest.
I like hanging out watching TV with my roommate if they are into the same things I am. They do not need to be. I can also just see you in passing. Not everyone wants to hang out when they get home and I get that. I'm good either way. Mostly I like to just make sure things are fair and that I do not step on your boundaries.
I'm a large advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and if you are anti-LGBTQ+ there is no need to apply to live with me.
No MAGA. Republican is okay but a Trump fan is not.

House Info: One story white stucco home in a walled-in community of 184 homes that has a park (which the house faces) and heated pool (with new pump/filters and is newly resurfaced). The neighborhood is near Coors Blvd. near St. Pius High School and less than 5 min from Walmart, PRESNow, and I-40 (3 miles from I-25). HOA dues are rolled into rent cost. HOA fees take care of the park, pool, water, and trash/recycling. The HOA board holds about 20 events a year for the community (i.e.: movies in the park, cookouts, bingo, karaoke, holiday bazaar, etc.).
Room Info: The unfurnished master bedroom is about 12x13 with an extra-large sliding glass door to the furnished patio/courtyard (with high fences). There is an iron gate running the length of the room (about 3 feet out from the door so the room is safe if sliding door is left open). It has two closets beside each other (combined they run the length of one of the walls). One wall has been covered with gray sound-proofing squares (to match the wall paint) since that wall is shared with the neighbor behind the house. We rarely hear him.
Shared Areas: Kitchen, Living Room, seating area in courtyard, seating in front of the house. The primary bathroom is 90% yours as the owner has a powder room in her bedroom. So, the only thing shared is the bathtub/shower.
A Few House Rules:
• No smoking in the house.
• No video games in the living room.
• Cats okay (litter box would need to be in your room as there’s no room for it in the bathroom) but it’s important to know there are dog doors that stay open during the day.
• Dogs okay (as long as they get along with the resident 12-year-old mini-Aussie).
• Deposit covers last month’s rent UNLESS renter does damage to the house, that would be charged separately.
• Neighborhood is strict on quiet hours (thus so is the house): 10pm to 8am.
