I recently (the pandemic year doesn't count) moved back after a few years in Portland, OR working for an animation studio. Now, I'm working as a freelance editor for a graphic novel imprint. I'm looking for a three-bedroom place in Brooklyn to share with my older brother (who's starting at Hunter College in the fall) and a third roommate.
My brother and I are friends, we don't fight, and we've been proven roommates for....27 years, give or take. My old roommates back in Portland are now some of my closest friends, so if that's the kind of thing you're looking for, perfect. And if you'd like a reference from either of them, let me know.
We'd like to create an apartment space that's less college dorm, more actual home, both aesthetically and socially. If you love critical discussions of movies, that's also a plus. Movie nights are A Thing with us.
Speaking for myself: I'm a neat, organized, and considerate roommate who will ask about your day (unless you give me a look) and check if you need something at the store before I go. I'm also working from home for the foreseeable future, though typically I spend a lot of time working from cafés when I can.
Move in would ideally be October 1st. Our combined budget maxes out at $2,000. LGBT+ and POC friendly. Leftists only, please.
–Tess
