I am coming to Vancouver to start my PhD in Physics (I study magnetism, and design magnetic materials). I am a 27 year old female who grew up in Winnipeg MB, and lived in Hamilton ON, for the last few years doing my Masters degree.

I am pretty quiet - since I spend a lot of my time working and studying, but I am also fairly social - when I'm not working I hang out with friends, try new things, etc. My mom has OCD so I was raised to be pretty conscious of how clean my surroundings are.

I have a small cat named Hypatia - she’s really shy but when she warms up to you she’s really cuddly, and I am really good about keeping her brushed etc. so that hair doesn’t get everywhere.

I’m into reading fantasy novels, going outside (hiking, walking, whatever as long as it’s in the fresh air), and swimming. I also have been known to go on the occasional Netflix binge or nine.
