My name is Michael. I’m a queer black artist living in Brooklyn. I moved to the city due to not feeling safe at home with my family. I have friends here who are the closest thing to family I have. They have helped me out as much as they could. I’m currently working two jobs and this new year one of the places I worked started giving less hours. I gave up my sublease and I’m currently staying with a friend. I’m afraid of becoming homeless. Any assistance I could apply for would be greatly appreciated.
