About Me

Hi. My name is Heather and I currently live in a super cute studio a few blocks from the beach in Ocean Beach with my sweetheart dog, Zorro. I was recently laid off from my job as an art consultant in La Jolla due to Covid-19 but am very excited for the next chapter as I begin an apprenticeship as an electrition for Baker Electric.

As much as I enjoy living alone, I've made the decision to seek out a roommate more so for my dog than anything else. I don't expect I'll need any help as I do have lots of friends in the area that can do that for me if I'm in a bind but more so that Zorro has company at home when I'm not around. The first 5 years of my apprenticeship I'll be going to school in the evenings for 2-3 hours a day, 2-3 days a week. I just hate the idea of Zorro being home alone all day and would feel much better knowing he's in good company.

It would be my preference that there be another animal in the house and of course that my roommate must love Zorro. Zorro gets along with any living creature. He worked as a therepy dog in 3 different treatment centers during his younger years when I was still with my ex. He loves dogs of all sizes but his favorite are cats. He also is obsessed with gophers. We go to the dog park often and all he cares about is searching for gophers. He will come inches from them and stand still like a statue while his tail wags a million miles/minute. He has never lunged or attacked one. I have many videos to prove his kind heart with cats and gophers. He even puts his tail between his legs and leaves the room every time I kill a fly or spider. I truly have the sweetest dog in the world and he always wins everyone over, including dogs with rough pasts. They always seems to warm right up to him and people are amazed.

He is the biggest part of my life by far but other things I enjoy are rollerblading, skatboarding, learning the drums (electric((quiet)), going to the dog park/beach with Zorro, beach days solo or w friends and lots of time with my friends. I have a very close group of girlfriends that I consider my blood. We're mostly gay girls and everyone has a good head on their shoulders, very kind, respectful, funny and positive. I don't expect I'll have more than 1 or 2 friends over here and there throughout the week. We are very mellow and just like to sip pacificos and chat. We are not partiers unless a special occasion. I often go to their places as well so it would be very infrequent that I have company over. I can be extremely outgoing and equally introverted. I typically will hit a limit and just lay low for days at a time to hit the reset button. I also enjoy working out and staying fit!

I'm not religious nor big into politics. I'm more of a listener to be honest but I'll put it this way and leave it at that.. I'm a lesbian. I believe in living an honest life and being kind to one another. Reciprocity is a must for me and boundaries are necessary. I believe in doing what's right and helping people or making them smile any opportunity that I get. I also enjoy volunteering at the sd humane society and other rescues from time to time.

I'm very chill, very laid back and am looking for the same. I want to have a healthy friendly relationship with my roommate but do like to keep my social life for myself and not necessarily hang out often. I find it to be healthy for the living situation.
