Quiet, light-filled home w private beach in La Selva Beach

For rent is an unfurnished bedroom in a shared home with a huge yard full of birds, little bunny rabbits, even turkeys (the pics here show the bedroom as an office).

I am excited to share this beautiful home with a quiet, professional person who seeks to share a nature-based, quiet, clean, light-filled space with me so that we can both have a life-giving space from which to flourish.

Located in quiet La Selva Beach, you will have access to a private beach, 15 minute walk to the ocean, 5 minutes off the freeway, cute town-festivities, free organic veggies on Wednesdays in the park, and wild turkeys walking around the neighborhood. The house has a ton of natural light and is clean and bright. It was completely remodeled with modern furnishings 2 years ago with new white paint, stone floors, bathroom, high-end laminate floors in bedrooms, hardwood floor living room, dual pane windows. The wood burning stove keeps the house warm and cozy during rainy seasons. Ample parking outside and a large amount of land filled with flowers, birds, etc. There are a few peek-a-boo views of the ocean. I have quite a bit of outdoor furniture to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen has tons of storage.

An important key is that the lease includes pulling weeds/watering the yard. The weed growth varies over the seasons where some months I do no weeding and during heavy growth, I might weed 4 hours per month. If you do not want to weed, the rent would increase by $250/month. I weed so I can keep my rent lower.

Your Room.

Your room has 2 large windows overlooking flowers and nature. One window looks out over a large king palm tree and the neighbor's yard down below. There is plenty of space for a queen bed, dresser, and desk. You would have a large double closet and beautiful new dark wood floors.
The full bathroom separates our bedrooms and there is a separate half bath (not in pics) that will be your private toilet/sink. We share the shower/double sink. I can provide dimensions. Pics of the shared bath are here and I can send you pics of your bathroom and sink.

About Me

I am a professor, author, and nature-lover. I go to the university x2/week and work from home (my room or outside) most every day. I thrive in a quiet, clean, light-filled environment. I enjoy being around others who have warm hearts and positive regard for others. I love my career and am very focused on building a business, so I work every day on my laptop and take time out to be in nature and occasional socializing. I use earbuds and use a zoom that filters all background sound so that you can enjoy the house without feeling like you have to be super quiet. It is important to me that you don’t feel like you have to be ‘friends’ with me. It is important to me that we both possess a warm supportive relationship that has a positive regard for the other and an environment that supports sleep, light, uplifting and honest communication.
