About Me

I'm a divorced professional who works in Chicago and lives in Palatine. I have a 64 year old brother with a developmental disability (high functioning) who is in need of a roommate ASAP. I don't have a room for him and he needs to be close to public transportation. He's affiliated with Center For Independent Futures in Evanston and has a personal assistant who comes in for a few hours a week. He receives SSDI and works part-time at Home Depot. He has had several roommates and is a friendly, quiet guy who gets along with everyone. We haven't had any luck finding a mature guy with a slight disability and it doesn't matter to him so thought a woman might be a better fit (he's completely safe & non-sexual). If I can't find a new roommate to share rent I will have to move my brother to a smaller apartment.

64 year old man with a developmental disability (high functioning) in need of a roommate ASAP. He has had several roommates and is a friendly, quiet, easygoing guy who gets along with everyone. Seeking English-speaking, non-smoker. Mature person with a developmental disability who can live independently would be ideal.

The apartment is a very large 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom (unicorn!) unit atSkokie Blvd. and Dempster, close to the Skokie Swift train. Choice of bedroom & bathroom. Quiet elevator building - shared space is furnished, lots of closet space (+additional storage), window A/C, laundry on premises, heat & parking spot included. You will have to apply through the management agency.
