My lease is up at the end of September, so I plan to move into a nicer place in the vicinity of Mountain View. I'm looking for roommates to share a two or three bedroom apartment at around $2k/person (+/- 200). There are a number of newer developments on El Camino Real that fit that profile.

I'm a manager at a regional accounting firm, and work from Palo Alto five days a week. When I'm home, I mainly read or play videogames with friends. I don't need to be best friends with my roommates, but it's nice to grab dinner or drinks every now and then. I've found that helps keep lines of communication open, so we don't only hear from one another when something is wrong.

FYI - My partner is currently working at Meta in Singapore, so I do work remotely overseas for 6-8 weeks at a time 2-3 times a year. They rarely come to the Bay Area, so no need to worry about an extra roommate appearing unexpectedly.
