My current roommate got married and is moving out, so I’m looking for a wonderful female roommate to share my home.
A little about me: I’m a designer and organizer with a deep interest in equity and sustainability. I’m Persian, I love to cook for friends, and I enjoy making a home feel warm, thoughtful, and lived-in, in the good way, not the “where did I put my keys?” way. I also have a 9-year-old son who lives with me 50% of the time, and a sweet parakeet who keeps things lively.
The room is furnished with a queen bed, desk, and dresser, and it has a closet inside for storage. Utilities and internet are included, and there is laundry in the basement, which is always a win. If you have appliances that use significantly more energy than what’s currently accounted for, or if you work from home and need the air conditioner on all day like it’s your personal summer companion, we can chat about splitting electricity costs down the line.
I really love my neighborhood, people garden, know each other, and it genuinely feels like a family. It’s one of those rare places where community still feels real, and that means a lot to me.
I’m looking for someone who is responsible, considerate, and comfortable sharing a home with a child and a pet. Ideally, you value cleanliness, open communication, and a peaceful but friendly living environment. Bonus points if you’re someone who appreciates a home with personality, a sense of community, and the occasional good conversation or shared meal.
