Hi! I'm an Econ PhD student at NYU. Originally from Russia, have been living in NYC for five years. My hobbies include argentine tango, reading and creative writing.
On workdays I usually work from the office. Pretty quiet at home. Don't cook a lot and rarely invite guests, but don't mind if you do. Clean regularly. Would love to be friendly and go out occasionally, but I am introverted and ok with little interaction.

I am moving out of NYC and looking to sublet my room from mid-July to August with the opportunity to sign a new lease (1 or 2 years, rent-stabilized) starting September. The move-in date can be flexible after July 11.
The current rent is 1,050 and the rent for one-year renewal would be 1,100. A deposit equal to one month of rent is required. Utilities (electricity and wifi) are around 80 per month.
The apartment is on the second floor and has three bedrooms. The bathroom is shared with one of the roommates. The room has a closet and AC and fits a queen size bed and a table. I will be happy to sell any furniture I have.
The building is located in Bed-Stuy on a quiet green street. There is a grocery store (Ideal Food Basket) just around the corner, a nice coffee shop next block, and a park within walking distance. The building has laundry in the basement.
In terms of transportation, there is access to the M and J trains (Myrtle av. station), MTA bus lines (B38, B15, B45), and Citibike station. I also use A/C and G subway lines occasionally, the walk is around 20 minutes.
The roommate who is renewing the lease is in her early 30s, a PhD student in engineering working from the university. The second roommate who is not resigning has an office job in PR. I recently graduated from my PhD and am leaving NYC for a new job.
We are looking for a respectful female roommate in her late 20s to early 30s, non-smoking, preferably with the standard schedule.
Please feel free to contact me! I will be happy to have a Zoom call, organize a visit and/or connect with the other roommates.
