Room in 2 Bed/2 Bath Luxury Apartment for Female!

Hi! I’m a woman in her 20s looking for a fellow young professional woman to share my 2 bed/2 bath apartment! The room will be available starting 12/15/2024, but move-in can be as late as January 2025. My current roommate is moving out and I’m looking for someone to take over her half of the lease. I'm looking for a roommate who's laid-back, friendly, and keeps the shared spaces clean.

The apartment is in Alexandria, a 7-minute drive to the Huntington Metro and a 30-minute drive to DC. There’s a bus stop in front of the building, and the area has a variety of restaurants and shopping centers within walking or short driving distance. Building amenities include a gym, parking garage, business center, pool, game room, several lounge areas, and a courtyard with firepits and grills. Apartment details below:

- Unfurnished bedroom
- Spacious private bathroom with a shower
- Large walk-in closet
- Open concept kitchen (including a dishwasher)
- Partially furnished shared living space
- Full-size washer and dryer in the apartment
- Cat friendly; I plan to get a cat, so if you have a cat(s) to bring, great! No dogs, please!
- Garage parking ($50 a month)

Rent is split evenly, with each of us being responsible for about $1250 a month, which includes utilities and parking. There’s no security deposit, but management requires $50 application fee and a $150 charge for adding a new person to the existing lease. The current lease ends in March 2024, and I plan to renew. I’d prefer a roommate that plans to stay for at least 6 months, but we can discuss timelines if you’re interested.
