About Me

Coming to New York to break out of my normal routine, having lived in San Francisco for many years. Looking in East Village and adjacent, possibly other areas in lower Manhattan for the right situation and commute to work.

I partner dance (blues+swing), do/make art, cook fancy meals, go to Burning Man, and love to travel. Drug free; not much of a drinker. I work out 5 days a week (yoga, weights, HIIT). Taylor Swift fan. Yep, even the country albums. Generally a type A personality but sensitive about imposing it on others. INTJ and Enneagram type 6w5, if you're into that sort of thing.

I manage software engineers, used to be one myself, as well as retired from the Army Reserve (Transportation/Logistics). Currently work from home but hope to go to the office (Flatiron) someday when it's safe, and maybe have a home where I can walk to work!

Have lived with roommates much of my life, including very close quarters in Iraq and Afghanistan; last roommate situation was sharing a studio(!), so I've a lot of experience with negotiating boundaries and adapting to life in small spaces with people of all ages, genders, and lifestyles.

I love a clean bathroom. That's probably my most basic and soulful desire for a home. It's less about cleaning it constantly and more just not messing it up to begin with. I sit when I pee, for example. Sitting while peeing would probably be my most unusual request of any other male roommates, lol!
