Hi everybody!
We have one bedroom available in our huge 3BR/1BA apartment starting on April 1st. If you'd like to move in a few days after this with prorated rent, our current roommate can accommodate this.
THE APARTMENT
The apartment is a large, beautiful space (1100 sq ft.) with high ceilings and stretches across the length of the building with exposures on three sides, making it very breezy and pleasant in the warmer months. The interiors of the building were re-done in 2015, but a lot of the original character of the building was retained.
Key features include:
- In-unit washer and drier
- Dishwasher
- Huge common area
- Viking range and hood
- Big, shared rooftop patio with seating and views of Manhattan
- Large kitchen sink
- Kitchen island
- AC/Heating
- Ceiling fans
- Large storage cage in the basement
The apartment is located in Williamsburg and is centered right between the Bedford and Lorimer L, Metropolitan G, and Marcy J/M/Z stops with about a 7-minute walk to each.
The surrounding blocks have a huge selection of excellent restaurants and bars. McCarren Park and Domino Park are each about a 10-minute walk away.
THE ROOM
Rent is $2050/month for the room in the apartment. It has a spacious walk-in closet, a window AC unit installed by the landlord in the summer, windows that provide for great lighting, and a large ceiling fan.
Gas, electricity, and cable and internet (Fios) are not included in the rent, but should come to about $100 per person per month. Standard NYC income requirements apply.
CURRENT ROOMMATES
Tom - 28-year-old Brit who's been in New York for a couple of years. I work in Midtown and keep pretty busy during the week but tend to spend more time in the apartment at the weekends. I like living in a tidy space and am pretty laid back and friendly. I've lived in the apartment for 18 months and absolutely love it.
Quinn - I'm 24, from the Bay Area and currently work in Tech. I recently moved back to the States after living abroad for the past 2.5 years (6 months London, 2 years Abu Dhabi). My office is in Chelsea but I travel a lot for work so I'm mostly only around on the weekends. I'm fairly relaxed, highly value my coffee, and am always up for a new adventure.
Our third roommate is sadly relocating to a new city for work but we love the apartment and are excited to stay living in the area. We also feel it's excellent value for the price.
YOU - Are any age/gender/ethnicity/orientation/etc. - Are able to pay rent - Clean up after yourself and are respectful of common space - Are social and easy-going (i.e. won't be annoyed if people are around at weekends) - Want to shoot a message with any questions about us or the apartment
