My boyfriend and I (Natalie, lister) are a laid-back couple in our early 30s. We’re both from Colorado but call Brooklyn home. During the day, our bedrooms double as offices. We’re both working from home, and accustomed to accommodating each other’s work schedules, phone calls, and Zoom meetings.
I work in nonprofit communications, and Ryan works in film (documentary editing and post-production). We both have film and media backgrounds and enjoy watching movies, playing video games, cooking, bike rides, craft beer, and the occasional virtual game night or backyard BBQ. We’re tidy in shared spaces and mindful of sharing the kitchen, living room, and backyard with roommates. We tend to keep quiet hours after 10 pm on weeknights though we’re both night owls.
Our ideal roommate is a professional in their mid-twenties or older. We appreciate warm, tidy, communicative, sound-conscientious housemates. We’re happy to socialize but also fine with someone who keeps to themselves. We’ve been keeping safe during COVID-19 by following CDC and state guidelines, wearing masks in public, washing hands, and cleaning regularly, We’re LGBTQ friendly and open to any gender roommate as long as it’s a good fit. Bonus points if you enjoy movies, Broadway, video games, biking, computers, or cooking!

Master Suite Available with Private Patio in Spacious, Plant-Filled Apartment
Master bedroom and private bathroom available in a spacious three-bedroom apartment in East Williamsburg. The two-story home has a light-filled living room and large kitchen with granite countertops and plenty of cooking space. We have most kitchen items (toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, microwave) and living room furniture, but there is room for more. There’s also storage available in the front closet and furnace room.
There’s a small backyard shared with one neighbor. The yard has a grill and a small vegetable garden. The apartment entrance, common space, and backyard are on the ground floor.
The available bedroom is one floor down. It’s the largest room in the house and can easily fit a king-sized bed, desk, and other furniture. It has tile floors and sliding glass doors leading to a private patio, so there’s plenty of light. You’ll have your own bathroom with toilet, sink, bathtub and shower. We’re also open to renting the smaller bedroom upstairs (you’d still have your own bathroom) for $1100/month, contact us for details.
We live in a vibrant, safe, diverse neighborhood on the Williamsburg/Bushwick border (off the Montrose L). You’re walking or biking distance to many restaurants and bars with outdoor dining, Citibike stations, grocery stores, downtown Williamsburg, McCarren Park. Iconic Brooklyn attractions like Roberta’s Pizza, the Bushwick Collective (mural installation), and great vintage stores abound.
