We’re looking for two new roommates to join our creative, social, and communal home. The house has three main bedrooms plus a basement. We are currently looking to fill the main floor bedroom and the basement bedroom & are looking forward to finding the right fit!

The main floor bedroom is bright and right next to the shared bathroom (which also serves as the guest bath). The basement has its own back entrance and comes with a connected bonus room (currently soundproofed) that could be used as a jam space, art studio, or cozy den. This space would be perfect for a musician or artist looking for space to create! While the bedroom can be made fully private, the washer and dryer are in the bonus room, so we’d occasionally pop down there- but on the plus side, we have laundry!

The house itself has a big front porch, a small backyard/patio we’re looking forward to transforming for better outdoor hangs, and a record player for music nights. It’s mostly furnished, though we’ll need to replace a few items (like the dining table) when the current roommates move out. We are definitely down to switch things up so this feels as much your home as ours plus we have some underutilized communal space!

Street parking has never been an issue, and the neighborhood (Richmond) is super walkable (I lived here for 5 years without a car!)

We’re Kate and Billy, two silly pals who keep an extremely low-drama & supportive household where laughter, shared meals, and creativity are part of daily life. We want to continue to foster a warm, welcoming environment- this is truly a home!

Kate (28F) & Genie (Snowshoe, 2F): I love houseplants and cooking! I’m a painter and rent my own studio- would love to live with another artist! Professionally, I manage a food pantry, work as a regional organizer for a youth mentorship nonprofit, and serve on the board of a health equity nonprofit.

Billy (30M) & Milly (Aussie Mix, 1F): is our resident plant whisperer and maybe the most charismatic person I know?! He loves gardening, foraging, and being outdoors. He’s into herbal medicine and may be starting a nursing program soon. Both Billy & Milly are great at jumping through hoops!

🌸House Energy

Our home is creative, social, and communal. With our current roommates (who are sadly moving out of PDX), we’ve done communal dinners 4-5 nights a week, where each person cooks/cleans one night, and we’d love to keep that tradition going.

We’re social but not a “party house”- we regularly have friends drop by for dinner, dog walks, or craft nights, and we would love to host occasional dinner parties and holiday gatherings. While we occasionally have some late nights with friends, these are kept solely to the weekends and stay small. We’d love for you to meet our friends, and we’d love to meet yours!

We’re both more type B than type A: we like a neat house but we’re not perfectionists. We know that life gets busy and a pan occasionally may get left in the sink- we’re team players who often help each other out! Think- clean but lived in.
