North Portland home searching for 4th roommate

Hello everyone,

We are looking for an excellent roommate to come share space our rental house. We're in a great neighborhood in North Portland near the Kenton area. This is a great home that we've lived in for a while and thanks to the rent being so cheap, we usually dont have trouble finding new roommates in our own social groups. However, this time we're dealing with a little shorter notice to find a new roomie and we're opening the search up to the public.

Our home is really nice, if a little on the "rustic" side. That is to say, it's an old building that could always use a little more TLC. For example there's a workshop in the basement that could be a really fun crafts area if we cleaned out the spidery mess that's currently down there, there's ample space for a garden that no one will be using once our resident gardener moves out in december, and there are issues with creaky floorboards and poor sound insulation throughout the house.

The room that's available is a converted attic space. There is a decent amount of floorspace but the ceiling is an A-frame that gets low around the walls, making it a potentially uncomfortable space for very tall people. But it also has a great little west-facing window with a nice view of the neighborhood and sunsets. There will also be another room opening up in march with potential to move out of the attic room if you'd like, and the rent would still be cheap.

The three of us who live here now native portlanders in our late 20s with a large but not huge social bubble during covid. We social distance and wear masks in public but we also host and attend small social gatherings with friends and will likely have at least one or two gatherings at the house during the holiday season of about 8-12 people.

Cleanliness in the common spaces of the house is something that we really value and we want someone who will not only clean up their own mess but help with sweeping, unloading the dishwasher, scrubbing the bathroom, and other shared tasks like that.
