I work for the government from 9-6ish and also teach dance. I like to cook, and occasionally have friends over for a game night. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi and a UN volunteer in Sudan, I love traveling and other cultures. Prior to the pandemic, most weeknights I would either be at a dance class or at the theatre. I love exploring all the arts and culture in Washington, DC.
I work from home full time right now during the pandemic. I support Black Lives Matter and practice social distancing.

I'm looking for a new roommate to share my 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. I love this place and I'm sure you would too! It's a top-floor apartment with great views, wood floors and lots of light.
YOUR BEDROOM: 16 x 18 feet!! HUGE!!! Wraparound windows, fantastic sunrise and evening views, SUN-DRENCHED throughout the day. Unfurnished.
PRIVATE BATH: Your OWN private bath with full size tub, extended shower curtain rod, plenty of storage, and great water pressure.
MASSIVE WALK-IN CLOSEST: 'Walk-in' doesn't quite do justice to this 6 x 8 foot closet with three clothes racks and tons of shelves/storage (it even has its own window).
THE REST: This apartment is massive. 1300 square feet. Common areas are furnished (see pictures). The building has a pool, a gym, and other community spaces and amenities.
YOUR ROOMMATE: In my late thirties, works for the government from 9 - 6ish and also teaches dance. Likes to cook, and occasionally have friends over for a game night. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi and a UN volunteer in Sudan, I love traveling and other cultures. I work from home full time right now during the pandemic. I support Black Lives Matter and practice social distancing.
YOU: An ideal roommate would probably be a professional woman between the ages of 30-50. Bonus for those with an interest in Africa, international development, cross-cultural travel, or the performing arts. Double bonus points for those who've lived abroad. I'm looking for a roommate with some common interests and any of the above would be a great start!
RENT: $1680/mo includes ALL utilities (heat, electric, air conditioning, gas, cable, wireless internet)
AVAILABLE: From September 25, but move-in date somewhat negotiable
LEASE DETAILS: You would be added to the lease, which is month-to-month. I would STRONGLY prefer someone who is interested in staying long-term, but the month-to-month lease offers flexibility.
IF INTERESTED: Please contact me by email (include some details about yourself, please!!) and we can arrange a time for a video chat and tour.
