Just finished up grad school and spent the last 2 years in Silicon Valley. Moving to NYC for a new job at Google. I am from South Africa and spent my undergraduate degree in Cape Town (with a semester spent in San Diego).
I love sport, although I'm still trying to figure out American sports. I'm a big fan of a casual beer and talking some shit with mates but otherwise nothing crazy on the social front. I don't smoke but don't have an issue with anyone who does.
My job will have me spending a fair amount of time travelling around so I will be away probably once a month. I know very few people in the city (being from the other side of the world originally) so I'm really looking forward to meeting some people and getting involved with all that NYC has to offer. I have a girlfriend but she lives in London so will be staying over very very seldomly.
Generally I'm a fairly easy person to live with and just really excited for the new challenges and opportunities in NYC.
Cheers!
