I am originally from WI, but have lived in the city since 2004. I was a ballet dancer, but now I'm a dietitian working in a hospital and finishing graduate school. My roommate is a lawyer, journalist, and professor who is also in graduate school. The apartment vibe is laid back, and respectful with the occasional friend or family over. We are clean, semi-organized, and looking for someone more extroverted since we keep to ourselves when working or needing downtime, but enjoy spending time hanging out in the common area or neighborhood.

Large room (15 x 8 ½ ft.) with a closet. $1050 a month in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a large kitchen and dishwasher. New building with a doorman, on-site super, in-house laundry, two elevators, rooftop access, bike lockup, and gym. The building, location, and in-house amenities have been a plus living here, especially during covid! Open to meeting in person or virtually to show the space :)
The neighborhood is Long Island City-Dutch Kills/Court Square, right across the Queensboro Bridge. There are several grocery stores in the area (including Trader Joe's), great restaurants, cute coffee shops, breweries, cocktail bars, and gyms (including rock climbing). Access to Manhattan via a short stroll/bike over the Queensborough bridge or we are in a 3 block radius of several train options (N/Q,7,E,M,R,F) and the G is close. One stop to Manhattan on the N/R train, two stops on the E/M/F, and four stops to Grand Central on the 7.
