Oj T - $900/month

I am an introvert who enjoys reading and listening to music in my free time. You’ll usually catch me with my headphones on, listening to my most recent book obsession or hyper-fixation song/album of the minute. I like to describe myself as ‘kind, not nice’ 😅—meaning I’m incredibly supportive and reliable, but I value clear boundaries and direct communication. My room is my safe space, and as someone with ADHD, it can sometimes look a little chaotic inside, but I keep it strictly contained to my personal space! When it comes to shared areas, I’m very respectful—I absolutely hate dirty dishes left around, rings in the toilet, or overflowing trash.
Currently, I work as an independent delivery driver, which keeps me busy out on the road during the afternoons and evenings. This is not my long-term plan, as I am actively searching for more ‘traditional’ employment. I’m coming out of a long-term relationship where I was the stay-at-home parent, so I haven’t had a ‘real job’ in a bit. However, I have a flawless, long-term track record of paying $900 a month for rent consistently and on time, and I am looking for a stable, quiet environment to match.
I like to cook, but I'm no professional chef. I mostly cook basic meals for myself, or happily entertain the idea of a "meal" that consists of hummus, pickles, and ice cream (not all together, obviously—I'm not a monster).
House dynamic note: I’m queer and non-religious. I’m very respectful of all faiths, but I’m looking for an inclusive, peaceful home where bigotry and hatred have no place.
I have two dogs who are my absolute babies and only family: Bunny, my 6-year-old terrier mix, loves to give kisses but fears being picked up. She’ll bark when she first meets you, then immediately cry and demand love. Monkey is my 4-year-old shepherd mix; she adores kids and other pets, though she can occasionally be a bit vocal or vocalize her boundaries if she sees someone in a big hat. They are both fully house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, and very well-socialized. They have great recall, though I do believe some of my ADHD rubbed off on them when it comes to squirrels!
I’m looking for a pet-friendly room with a roommate who values communication, respects personal downtime, and appreciates a tidy kitchen.
