Tom - $1,200/month

I enjoy reading, finding new music, experiencing art in person, riding my bike, and getting lost exploring my surroundings. I'm a former academic and former standup comic -- I still love big ideas and being goofy, but I don't have any more desire to subject others to them professionally.

I love a situation where everyone can trust each other to respect our shared space and keep it clean and friendly. We don't have to be best friends but we can always have a conversation to deal with difficulties that come up and find areas in common. If we have that, there's a lot of wiggle room for differences in taste and schedule and whatnot. My only real subjective deal-breaker is heavy scented candles, incense, etc.

I asked a previous housemate to give their unvarnished opinion of me and this is what they said:
"Tom is clean, quiet, considerate, and reliable. He stays on top of household chores and is very handy when something needs repaired or problem-solved, and is a direct but polite communicator. And he's also a delightful person to be around- I would describe Tom's energy as serene, patient, and open."

I'm pretty flexible about amenities, but laundry, and indoor bicycle parking would be big bonuses! I might be getting rid of my car soon, but if there is easy parking nearby I'd be glad to share it sometimes.

My preferred move-in date is August 1st, but I have some flexibility from July 15th - early August.
