Roommates (& New Friends) Wanted!!! Early-Mid May Move In, ~$1000 per month budget for Weird Fun Creative Good Vibes Woohoo Home! In Brooklyn or Uptown Manhattan :)

Hi!!!!! I’m moving to NYC soon, and I’m hoping to move in with 3-4 cool new people so we can build something awesome together! My hope is to find roommates first, and then in late April we can find an apartment together

Apartment Basics:
* Budget: ~800-1200 per person depending on apartment
* Size: 4-5 Bedroom Apartment (so 4-5 roommates total)
* Location: Leaning towards Brooklyn (Bushwick/Bed-Stuy or Flatbush/Prospect Heights), or Uptown Manhattan (Washington Heights, Harlem, Inwood). This is flexible!!!
* Hoping for something spacious enough for hosting friends and such
* Hoping for in-unit laundry/dish washer
* Lease: 1 year lease, though hoping for something that will last longer than that 
* Move In Date: Early May! May 15th would be the latest and probably most likely, but if we can find a spot earlier then amazing! I’ll be landing back in the states starting on the 21st of April so May 1st would probably be the earliest.

Apartment Vibes!!!
* Community! Not a crazy party-every-night type of vibe, but I would LOVE to have a social home, host events here, bring people together, and make our place somewhere super welcoming.
* Creative! I’d love for the house to be a home base for everyone’s creative projects, whether for filming indie movies, recording music or podcasts, or something else too!
* Cleanliness: Looking for neither neat freaks nor slobs! Shouldn’t mind if someone has left a couple dishes in the sink, but also shouldn’t be leaving massive piles themself.

* Age range: 21-34
* Progressive, Queer & BIPOC friendly. Hoping for a “girls & gays” type of vibe 
* A fair balance of having passions and things you’re driven towards and working on while also being able to have fun together, going out dancing, and being silly goofy woohoo together

* I’m really trying to be intentional about this and hoping to create not just a place to live in, but a home (awww lol). If you’re only looking for a place to live and are fine being strangers with your roommates, then this probably isn’t for you!

Brief about me:
* My name is Star! I’ve spent the past 4 years traveling, I taught English in rural Thailand for 1.5 years and then lived in Australia (Melbourne) for 2 years. I’ll be starting off working in hospitality and/or teaching ESL, but I’m hoping to move into something to help stop the US from being on fire lmao.
* Something else important to know is that I have just recently come out as transgender (mtf, not yet out to family but thats coming soon). I will be starting hrt within my first 6 months of being in NYC, which is something to know.
* My goal this year is to bring more play into my life and rediscover my silly goofy radiantly cringe self!!! Woo!!!
* My facebook profile and ig are incredibly out of date so you wont get what you expect if you stalk me there (lowkey was a bit of a stressor getting myself to post this because of the dissonance between current-me and old-me)
