We have one room going spare in an amazing three bedroom exposed-brick apartment in the lovely neighbourhood of Greenpoint. The room has massive windows with an incredible view of the Manhattan skyline. The bed is lofted, which leaves space for desk, dresser, etc in the room underneath and there is a built in wardrobe space to hang all your clothes (sorry about the pic, the current occupant leaves her room pretty messy!). Every room has built-in AC and heating.

We have a big, spacious kitchen for cooking, lots of storage space, a nice bathroom with bath/shower and a living room with high ceilings, comfy sofas and a big tv.

Laundry is literally across the hallway, there is a mail room downstairs and a freight elevator for if you need to move in furniture. There is a live-in superintendent in the building and it is also pet friendly.

One of the best things about the apartment is the roof access: we have a massive roof with views of the entire Manhattan skyline in one direction and the rest of Brooklyn in the other. It's honestly one of the best views in NYC and is perfect for having friends over in summer or just hanging out.

The location of the apartment is perfect - it's a very safe area, just down the road from McCarren Park, great restaurants and bars, gyms, etc. It's about a 5 min walk to Nassau G train, 12 min walk to Bedford L train and a 5 min walk to the Greenpoint ferry. There's also Citi bikes directly across the road.

It's a three bedroom apartment, you would be living with myself, a 30 year-old British male journalist, and a 33 year-old Aussie actress/make up artist (and a very sweet cat). We're both pretty laid-back, always respectful of other people's things and relatively neat. I've lived in this apartment for three years already and really love the place, the building and the area.

First, last and security, and identification required to move in. Plus, a $100 application fee (because, you know, New York real estate agents)
Management company requires proof of income (40x rent per year or guarantor)
