Nice to meet you! I'm Luveen, and I will be attending the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Fall 2025 for my Master's in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology. If you are a graduate student or postdoc looking to live in slightly higher-end housing ($2000-$2500 per month per person), or if you are plugged into a community of students looking to share a larger place (2 bed+ / 1 bath+), we should talk!
About me:
I am a software engineer, and I am passionate about the environment. This is my second Master's degree. My first is in Computer Science from UT Arlington.
I haven't lived in New York before, so it would be great to stay with someone looking to make friends. At the same time, I like my personal space and downtime, and I respect your preferences there. When I'm home and not busy studying, I like to relax with a book, movie, or video game. I am married, but I will be moving solo from San Francisco to NYC for my degree.
Three Interesting Facts:
1. I love chatting about native plants and pollinators. For our pandemic project, my wife and I planted a native plant garden in our rental apartment's backyard.
2. I adore Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan is my favorite actor ever. I have interned on a soap opera set in India. I enjoy Bollywood music (on my headphones) and have sung and danced at public performances.
3. I am a cat person. Ask me for pictures and stories of my cats, Maggi and Tutu.
What I bring: I am a mature, empathetic, and easygoing person who appreciates living well and forming genuine bonds. I have an excellent credit score and financial profile that should make it straightforward to win an application at a larger, higher-end apartment building. If you have a great credit score as well, that will strengthen our applications and set us apart from other applicants. Also, I'm a tech geek, so if you need help with anything tech-related, I'm your guy!
My promise: I will do my best to keep shared spaces clean and work with my roommate(s) to make our living experience fulfilling and stress-free.
What I'm looking for:
One or more roommate(s) with chill vibes interested in renting out a larger place (2 bed+ / 1 bath+) to share for larger rent savings. You are flexible, eager to build a beautiful cohabiting space, open about your living preferences, and willing to work together to resolve any issues that we might encounter living together.
My maximum monthly budget | 2,700 |
Move in Date | Aug 2025 |
Lease Duration | 1 Year |
Age | 41 |
Occupation | Software Engineering |
Pets | No Pets |
Hometown | San Francisco, Ca, Usa |
Education | Masters In Computer Science |
Relationship Status | Married |
We think Luveen would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
