Looking for a roommate in Manhattan - New York

Sophie N - $1,800/month

About Me

I'm a middle school teacher so I'm more early to bed, early to rise if it makes a difference. I'm fairly clean and care about sharing those responsibilities equally! Being friends with my roommate is a plus, but being mutually considerate and communicative is what really matters to me. I have some common furniture I am looking to keep (incl a small couch, happy to share pics of it all), as well as a plant or two that need sunlight, so if you're moving without shared furniture, that's a huge plus!

I've lived in the city for three years in both Brooklyn (Fort Greene) and Manhattan (UES)! I'm looking to move to a place hopefully near a green space (aka park) that has a decent commute (30-40 min max) to my job in the West Village. If it checks both those boxes, I prefer Manhattan and I'm pretty open on neighborhood.

Flexible budget, always love to go lower but can go up if needed. Looking for one roommate, ideally!

Prefer 9/1 start date but flexible from 8/15-10/1.

My maximum monthly budget 1,800
Move in Date Sep 2026
Lease Duration 1 Year
Age 28
Occupation Teacher
Pets No Pets
Relationship Status Single
LGBTQ Friendly

We think Sophie would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
