Hey everyone! I'm looking for 1-2 roommates between the ages of 25 and 40 (no gender preference) who share the same approach to living. The idea is to cooperate and find an apartment together. I'm looking in areas with a maximum 1-hour commute to Manhattan, and my targeted budget for the room is $800-1200. Move-in is flexible and not urgent.
Finding good roommates is my top priority, so I'd like to meet up for coffee to ensure that we're a good match before we start looking for a 2-3 bedroom apartment together. In short, here are my 5 MUST-haves when it comes to future roommates:

1. Keep apartment clean and minimalistic. Love to clean and organize, and a keep common spaces minimalistic. I respect my roommates' choices in their own rooms, but if you appreciate well-cleaned and organized common areas, we'll get along great. OCD clean people are welcome too.

2. Love quietness. Want to find a quiet living environment, both in terms of roommates and neighborhood. My life and work are very active and extroverted, involving a lot of talking, so I'm looking for a peaceful apartment where I can recharge after my busy weekdays. I'd prefer a place where neighbors don't throw parties or play loud music, somewhere you can hear birds instead of ambulances and cars. Occasional guests are fine, though.

3. Do not use drugs or weed. Alcohol in the house to once a week or not at all would be ideal.

4. Know how to communicate. Have experience living with roommates and know how to communicate and resolve problems. I've moved a lot, and I understand the importance of finding someone who feels comfortable discussing issues, making compromises, and accepting constructive criticism.

5. Focused on your career or business. I'm career-oriented and would like to surround myself with people who are dedicated to success in their chosen fields and who are passionate about what they do!

If these 5 criteria match your preferences, here's a bit more information about me:
I'm 25 years old and work for NASA and AgTech, with the flexibility of remote work, so proximity to Manhattan isn't a necessity for me. Originally from Ukraine, I'm liberal, not religious, but I respect others' choices. I recently relocated from California to New York, so I'm still exploring activities in the area. In my free time, I enjoy going to the state library, visiting jazz clubs, practicing meditation, reading, taking long walks in Manhattan, attending stand-up comedy shows, music events, painting, and camping. I also have a preference for cooking healthy meals. As for music, I listen to Tiny Desk, KEXP, FKJ, Olivia Dean, Alicia Keys, and Circle techno.
