Hi everyone!

My name is Omar and I’ll be moving to NYC, looking to move in somewhere around July.

I grew up in Houston but most recently I’ve been based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I spent the first few years of my career in the financial industry, however I am now moving into a sales role at checkout.com!

I’ve never lived in NYC, and will be moving quite a distance to a brand new city, so I don’t know very many people in NYC at all. I’d love to meet new people, and would consider myself a pretty social person. There are times when I would like to have my own space, but generally I’m a pretty friendly and social guy.

I come from a multicultural background, having moved around between Houston, and Saudi Arabia throughout my life. I spent my whole life at international schools, so I am grateful to have met many different people from all parts of the world. I love meeting different types of people and really appreciate diversity! I believe we all have something to learn from each other.

I like to go out, generally I like to spend at least a few hours of my day outside the house. My role is a hybrid model, so I’ll be in the office atleast twice a week. But knowing myself, I prefer going 3-4 times a week (unless it’s freezing cold outside, Im not a fan of the cold so good luck to me during the winter).

My idea of an ideal night out can involve bars, clubs, or a nice dinner. I like checking new places and love doing activities and exploring new things and places. I love learning about history and culture.

I’m a big football (soccer) and formula 1 fan, but also enjoy other spots like basketball.
