After selling my apartment in Boynton Beach, I paid cash for my apartment in Century Village in Deerfield Beach in March of 2022. I am an accountant by trade and had a job in Deerfield for 7 years. In September 2022 I woke up in the middle of the night and fell n my tile floor and broke my left hip. I was unemployed for over 1 year. I finally was hired in January 2024. After working there for 9 months, they decided they only needed me part time. When I expressed to the CFO that I could not complete my duties in 3 days and I was fired. I tried to collect unemployment however I found out that this company had submitted my wrong SS # to the IRS and I didn’t receive unemployment until June 2025. All of this caused me to fall behind in dues. I have also realized that I cannot afford the constant repairs, assessments and the possibility of becoming sick or hurt again. I get $1,300.00 in Social Security and as of today I cannot find a job. I believe too many people with degrees are out of work, and I can’t compete with them at my age. I do want to work, and looking into other options. I also receive SNAP food stamps which will help with groceries.
I am clean, quiet, respectful and friendly. I do not smoke, and have a glass of wine occasionally. My cat, Sunkiss is 8 (I adopted her when she was just 6 weeks old). She is a 100% indoor cat and is the love of my life. Everyone loves her, she looks like Morris the cat but a girl!
I will need to leave my home on or before April 1, 2026
I would also like to say that I lost my husband 5 years ago, and I don’t like living alone. I am hooping to find a compatible roommate, maybe a new friend.
