Hello. I'm seeking a room (or rooms) for rent in a shared house. Or, I'd be open to joining with another person to apply for a house together this summer. I have some flexibility in my move date. A one year lease or month-to-month are both fine with me. I would prefer to live in any of these neighborhoods (but open to anywhere for the right place/roommate): Whitaker, Jefferson Westside, Friendly, College Hill, Amazon, Downtown, River Road. I'd also be stoked to live in a rural location outside of Eugene.
Let's skip the internet stuff and meet for coffee to assess compatibility. Only way to know if the fit is right is to meet in person, and I prefer to cut to the chase.
I use he/him or they/them pronouns. I can successfully live with any gender, race, or religion. I would likely not be compatible with anyone younger than about 30 (no upper age limit). My level of socialization with a rommate would depend on how many values/priorities/interests we share. I get along well with most people, as long as I get a lot of personal space to myslef and everyone repects good boundaries.
I do not currently have a set sleep schedule or work schedule. My life is in a state of transition. By the time I move, I will likely have a routine, but I don't know what type of schedule that will be yet. In any case, I do expect to be home quite often (likely working from home at least 50% of the time). I'd be most compatible living with someone who is gone pretty often, unless the house is layed out to allow for good seperation and sound insulation, because some of my work and hobbies involve making noise, and I have medical conditions that keep me up and random hours some days. That said, I am a very quiet, gentle-natured, and respectful roommate, with excellent communication and problem solving skills. Most environmental and scheduling conflicts are work-out-able :)
My ideal living space would include my own bathroom with a tub, and either one very large bedroom suitable to double as an office/artist workspace, or two smaller bedrooms so one can be my office. Access to a yard where I am allowed to use medical marijuana is, unfortunately, a necessary reality of my medical conditions rn. I do not ever smoke inside, and I don't grow, ever. I am not a stoner. I am a very motivated person.
I have a lot of random skills, especially homemaking and caregiving skills. Depending on the situation, I could trade limited services for reduced rent. This is an optional offer, not a necessity.
| My maximum monthly budget | 1,700 |
| Move in Date | Jun 2026 |
| Age | 38 |
| Pets | Pet Friendly |
| Education | B.A. In Sociology |
| Relationship Status | Single |
We think Jaden would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
