Available private bedroom in 2 bedroom/1 bath walk-up apartment ($975/month + utilities) in Crown Heights, near Franklin Ave. 2/3/4/5 trains. No pets, no couples, first months rent + $725 security deposit at move-in, soonest Feb. 1st
Neighborhood:
Great location in Crown Heights, Brooklyn! Just a 5-minute walk to the 2, 3, 4, & 5 trains, 15 minute walk to A & C, and about a 15 minute walk from Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. Grocery stores and laundry within 2 blocks. There’s also ton of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby for when things start to get back to normal.
Room:
Comfortably sized and sunny 140 sq. ft room. Hardwood floors and high ceilings, with two big windows that let a lot of light in. The room is away from the street too so it’s nice and quiet. There’s a small closet, as well as an additional closet in the shared living room.
Building:
The apt is on the top floor of a two-story building, walk-up only (stoop and one flight of stairs, to be specific). The two bedrooms are separated by a shared lightly-furnished living room (with small skylight), so the bedrooms have a lot of privacy being on opposite sides of the apartment. Shared kitchen and bathroom.
About me:
I’m a 34 y/o gay man working as a professional artist. I feel very lucky to have lived in the building for almost 10 years now, and there’s so much to love about the neighborhood as well. It’s a very chill apt and I usually appreciate the quiet when home. Considering the pandemic, safety is a big concern, but even out of the pandemic the apartment isn’t build for parties or large groups. It’s nice to come home to a quiet apartment after a long day at work and I hope you’ll be looking for the same! Ideally looking for a roommate to co-sign a year lease, but negotiable if need be.
