Women’s housing contract available starting May 1st for private room and shared bathroom. Rent is firm $741 per month, plus utilities. Utilities vary - average around $135-160/month (includes internet, gas, electricity, water/sewer/trash, and house cleaning service every 4 weeks). One month deposit required when signing lease. References and background check also required.

House is a cute small red brick home with fenced backyard in fantastic Arlington location near Shirlington. Neighborhood has a park with green spaces, children’s playground, and BBQ/picnic area. Home is short walk to grocery store and public transit is a block away. Neighborhood has lots of beautiful trees, nearby athletic fields, and a popular paved trail for walking and biking. The landlord owns a local property management company and is responsive and does quality work when making repairs.

This is for an upstairs private room with 2 large windows providing ample natural light, hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, and a good sized closet. Room measures approximately 9.5’ x 10.5’. Shared bathroom with one other person, extra storage in attic, and ample free street parking for a vehicle. Home has basement laundry room with washer, dryer, and utility sink. Kitchen has a gas range/oven, stainless microwave, stainless dishwasher, stainless Side-by-Side refrigerator, granite countertops, and a bar counter with 2 bar stools.

Rent includes lawn service covered by the landlord. We split the cost of household items such as air filters, water filters, cleaning supplies, ice melt, etc. Professional house cleaning service every 4 weeks is also split. Bedroom is furnished with a twin bed, nightstand, floor lamp, dresser, and two tall mirrors. Option to be unfurnished.

Lease renews March 2024 (one year increments). If you aren’t looking for the full year lease that’s okay - you are responsible for finding someone who is safe and reliable and comes with references to replace you on a signed lease update and to be approved by everyone in the home, and by the landlord.

Current roommates are quiet yet very friendly women in their 30’s, full-time working professionals, have lived here several years, non-smokers/non-drinkers/drug-free, are more liberal leaning and inclusive (involved in LGBTQ+ allyship and human and voter rights initiatives), and are COVID vaccinated.

No cats, dogs, or other animals according to the terms of the original lease.
