I'm moving to Vancouver to be closer to family - my brother lives in East Van, and my parents live on the island. However, as a newcomer to the city I am also interested in collective living opportunities such as sharing meals and opportunities to meet new people.

I work primarily in industrial manufacturing, providing automation services such as machine design, control panels, electrical and instrumentation, and programming. My job typically requires travel and overtime and I spend the better part of weekdays away from the house. However I anticipate in the first few months after moving I may be spending a good deal more time in my home office as I look for new clients in Vancouver. I do some remote work from my home office as well.

I have no pets or allergies. I consider myself a quieter, 1/2 introvert 1/2 extrovert type that is alternatively seeking company, and enjoys variety in experiences and personalities, but sometimes requires personal space and recovery in between. Although my job is not truly in the 'tech' sector, I find all technical jobs fascinating and love learning more about them. Finding a roommate who shares those interests would be a plus, but more importantly I'm looking for someone who is respectful, kind, and candid, as I strive to be in return.
