Caregiver Opportunity – Free Housing in Exchange for Part-Time Support!

Hello!

I’m looking for a compassionate and experienced part-time caregiver to support my 25-year-old son, who lives independently and was diagnosed with auditory and visual schizophrenia in 2018. While he is generally high-functioning and can manage on his own during the day, he requires more support in the evenings. His behavior can occasionally reflect that of a young child, but he is capable and thoughtful in many ways.

This role involves:

Administering medications and supplements as needed

Light meal preparation

Assisting with general household chores

Providing emotional support and contributing to his holistic healing journey

We approach his care holistically, as traditional Western medicine has not provided the full support he needs.

In exchange, housing is provided at no cost and you are NOT required to be on the lease as a caregiver.

Requirements:

Current mental healthcare professional (e.g., case manager, therapist, counselor, psychiatric nurse, or related role)

Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness (SMI)

No serious criminal history

Past evictions are not a disqualifier
