1 furnished bedroom is available for rent in Silver Spring rambler beginning January 20. You will share the house with the owner of the house, 3 cats, and 1 dog. The house, set adjacent to Sligo Creek Park, is 1 mile from downtown Silver Spring, including access to the metro, shopping, and dining. When you are home, you will be able to relax and enjoy two kitchens, two full bathrooms, covered front porch, finished basement with built-in bar, and backyard.
About the Room:
• Size: 10 ft x 13 ft
• Features: well-lit room with two windows looking out into the front yard; spacious closet
• Bathroom: Non-attached bathroom with shared storage.
• Furnishings: The bedroom is furnished with all new furniture, including a queen bed, nightstand, dresser, desk, and wool rug (for comfort and noise control).
About the House:
• Space: 2400 square feet, including main floor, guest room, and finished basement
• Parking: Ample street parking
• Storage: There is plenty of storage in the basement
• Appliances: Washer and dryer; two refrigerators, two ovens, dishwasher, microwave/convention oven
• Furnishings: The communal areas of the house are fully furnished.
• Bedrooms: Three bedrooms. Only one bedroom is available for rent.
• Bathrooms: There are two full bathrooms in the house – one on the main floor near the bedrooms and one in the basement.
Utilities: Electric, water, gas, internet (Fios) are included in the rent
Location: The house is located close to downtown Silver Spring, which is as close to being in DC as you can get without being in DC. It is super easy to get anywhere downtown or to any of the 3 airports in the area. Silver Spring itself also has a lot of restaurants and park space. The Silver Spring metro, shopping (e.g., grocery stores, pharmacies, hardware store, clothing stores), dining (e.g., coffee shops, breweries, bars, restaurants), movie theater, and civic plaza are all within one mile of the house. Sligo Creek Park, which features miles of paved trails for biking, walking, and running is only a few blocks away. Silver Spring is conveniently located just north of DC, making it easy to get into the city or anywhere in Maryland. I-495 is only a 6-minute drive from the house. If you don’t have car, bus lines are within a half mile of the house.
About Me: I am a mid-thirties professional that works from home 3 days per week. I identify as a non-binary queer male. I have three friendly cats and a Great Pyrenees that can’t get enough attention. You will never be expected to care for my pets, but you are more than welcome to spend as much time with them as you like. While they have full access to the house, you may choose to keep them out of your bedroom, if you wish.
About You: I am looking for someone that is respectful, communicative, responsible, and enjoys living with animals. However, because there are already 4 animals in the house, I request that you do not have any additional pets.
The rent is $1300/month, including utilities. A security deposit of $1300 will also be requested at the signing of a one-year lease. After 1 year, the lease will go month-to-month.
