Hi Future Roommate,

I'm Jorick (28), moving from The Netherlands to Atlanta for a year to work as a research assistant at Emory University. This is quite a daunting step in my life, so I was hoping to find a friend I can share an apartment with in Atlanta.

Of course, It would have to be a good match so let me tell you some stuff about myself and feel free to reach out to me if you recognize yourself!

On the daily, I enjoy a reasonably healthy lifestyle; I love to cook home-made meals and I work out 3 - 4 times a week through weightlifting & calisthenics, but I do love me some cookies and chips.

I love spending my evenings hanging back and gaming (soulslikes/roguelites/rpgs) and I usually prefer hanging out in smaller groups or 1-on-1 as I am quite introverted. In general I like all nerdy stuff like fantasy novels, board games, new tech, but currently I am really into Magic: the Gathering.

My music taste is all over the place, but currently I mainly listen to Drum n Bass and Metal subgenres like metalcore, post-harcore and progressive metal, but I also listen a lot to hiphop and trap.

I'd also say I am very tidy and hygienic; I am used to wearing no shoes in the house, I do dishes daily, and I generally keep things organized. A dirty kitchen is a pet peeve of mine (since I like to cook), some messiness in the rest of the space I'm generally okay with.

I also like to have a drink or a smoke on occasion (only socially), but only tend to do this on a monthly basis. If you smoke I'd be totally fine with it as long as its not inside. I also love cats, dogs and other animals so If you have any pets I'd love to help take care of them!
