I am newly retired and working part-time for an airport transportation luxury ride share company. my hours are early morning. I work from home online periodically. Generally a very quiet home, quiet neighborhood all day. Neighbors like to party on weekends and have large gatherings, but it is respectable for the most part. This neighborhood is largely hispanic, hard working families. It has been my home for over 22 years and it has been a nice place to live.
I have 1 back unit that is just an additional bedroom/garage conversion and my oldest daughter lives there for now. I have 3 bedrooms that will be rented out before the end of the year. Current availability is the 1 furnished bedroom.
I don't go out much, but if I do, I like to go sing Karaoke down the street for a few hours. I travel when time permits and If I do return to work, travel will be heavy for the job and I will be gone most of the day or overnight frequently. I do a lot of cooking I meal prep and sometimes have clients who pay for meals or catering events that I work into my schedule and do not like to share my kitchen, I have in the past and I have decided that I do not wish to share that or my washer /dryer. It has been my unfortunate experience that people do not take care of my things , so now, I no longer make them available as I am not in a position to keep replacing things. I am not a hard person to live with, mostly I keep to myself, always try to be friendly. I do speak my mind, so if I believe that there is something going on that is against the lease agreement I will mention it in hopes of a quick resolve. I am a stickler for timely rent, I rent my rooms out of necessity so bills can be paid, so I may not be as nice if the rent is always late.
I do not tolerate racism, I have interracially married in past and have bi-racial children (now adults) I am a very open and accepting person of most walks of life, religions, cultures, etc. I personally follow Christianity as my faith and someone of like values would be a favored fit here, but not a hard line choice. I am more interested in an easy going roommate who understands that they are renting a room and that is it.
