My wife and I have a large furnished bedroom with private bath in a contemporary house on a quiet street in Walnut Creek. We have a 2-year-old daughter who is usually cheerful. We are easy going in personality but diligent in keeping the house reasonably orderly and clean. I am a hydrologist and part-time baker. My wife is starting an immigration law practice.
We prefer a housemate who wants to share meals and entertainment some of the time and is willing to participate in the usual household chores.
No pets. No smoking. We are light social drinkers.

The bedroom is on the second floor. It is about 12 x 12 ft with large closet and attached full bath. Carpeted. View onto tree-lined quiet street. The single-family house is attractive and contemporary.
You will have full access to the kitchen, laundry, living room--pretty much the whole house.
Limited storage space. The garage is converted to a bakery (we host monthly bakery cafe events in our driveway).
Plenty of on-street parking near the house.
Back yard abuts the Contra Costa Canal trail. It is fairly nicely landscaped and pleasant to be in when the weather is good.
The house is about a 15-minute walk from Pleasant Hill BART and a 2-minute drive to I-680.
