I'm a woman in my early 30s who loves to cook vegetarian food, hang out with small groups of friends, and build community. I love to be around people, but don't like loud parties. I'm studying to be a rabbi, and as part of that I do a lot of social justice work. Looking for someone kind and chill to share a home with!

Seeking one more roommate of any gender to fill a 3-bedroom *kosher vegetarian* apartment in Washington Heights (Bennett & 184th St) for a year-long sublet. Move-in could be now through the beginning of September.
The apartment is beautiful -- newly renovated, large common space, spacious bedrooms, lots of light, well-maintained elevator building, kitchen with dishwasher and lots of counter space, laundry in the building. And the location is great -- quiet street, close to grocery stores, cafes, and the A train. Rent $950/month.
We are two women in our mid-20s/early 30s looking to create a cozy home space full of music, food, and community. Ideally you have some interest in participating in this, in sharing food sometimes, etc., while also having your own busy life and activities. We're looking for folks who are emotionally mature and good communicators, and are queer friendly and disability friendly.
The two of us are very involved in our Jewish community. However, *you do NOT have to be Jewish to live here* — we’re very open to anyone! You do have to be willing to respect certain things about the apartment space that are related to our religious observance. This means keeping the kitchen kosher (we will explain more about what this means — it’s fairly simple in a vegetarian kitchen) and not cooking or using electronics in the common space from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday.
The apartment is not furnished as of right now, since our lease just started, but we have ordered furniture for the common space, and it will arrive within the next week or two. (Can provide pics of the furniture we're getting if you'd like.) There's also an extra bed that could be yours, if you need one.
No couples. No cats. No heavy smokers.
Please reach out if interested!
