I am looking for a housemate for a large Bed-Stuy apartment. The room for rent is approx 250 square feet, with en suite large bathroom and small balcony. My 2 calm, friendly dogs also live in the apartment, so pet-lovers only, please! The apartment has 3 floors: the first level has the shared common areas (kitchen, eating and living area); the available room with its own bathroom is one staircase up, and my rooms and the shared laundry are on the top floor. The C-train is literally steps from the front door.
The room is available for min. 4 up to max. 12 months (longer lease could be discussed) - unfurnished but could be furnished if needed. This apartment is not the right space for someone who wants to have parties or rotating guests. I am open to sharing the space with a couple, and would also be happy to discuss if you have a dog or cat (as long as we can all get along)! The common areas are neat but not fanatically so. You'll find that I'm quiet and work-focused, but please be aware that this BedStuy apt is in the middle of a lively, vibrant community that can, at times, be noisy.
I am a liberal, open-minded, young-at-heart lesbian; I work in education. I'm respectful, considerate, & enjoy a good conversation or shared meal at the end of the day - but I'm also very attuned to everyone's need for privacy. I can provide a video tour if you are serious & interested. A signed document with the terms we agree to will be required.
